This is a Turbine Enstrom Helicopter on the Heli Pad of a Greenpeace ship some where off the coast of Ireland. One of the deck straps has not been released correctly, with what was very nearly disastrous consequence. Pilot skill and quick thinking saved the day.

6/21/05 - STOCKHOLM, Sweden I got this footage from last week. In the paper they say the "video showed the rotor blades of the Lithuanian-registered MI-2 helicopter hitting a tree, then clipping the top off a lamp post." I never noticed the lamp being cut down, but you can clearly see it if you focus on it. This was the guy's birthday present, a helicopter ride! Instead he got a helicopter ride to the hospital.

Here is video of the 'TNT' 737 crash-landing at Birmingham Airport (EGBB) This landing happened after the aborted attempt at Nottingham East Midlands, where the right main undercarrige was ripped off and took out the flaps on the right wing. The aircraft is presently sitting on the unused runway at Birmingham Airport and can be seen from the golf course nearby. (So my cousin informs me!) Filmed by a news helicopter that was in the area and handed over to the local Police and Investigation ...

These are intentional crashes of remote-controlled vehicles! Some people seem to not bother reading the text here that explains that... Sometime in the 1960s (I believe) the army conducted a series of crash tests using H21 helicopters. Though these tests did yield some information about the crashworthiness of the helicopter itself, the main purpose was to test passenger and cargo restraint systems and learn how to improve them. The video of the accident of the AS350B2 HB-XVB which happened the 18th june 2008 in Grenchen /Solothurn. Images by Christophe Röthlisberger. The pilot missed the landing on a platform. Nobody was injuried in the accident. The investigation is now conducted by the swiss AAIB (Aircraft accident investigation bureau) ----------- La vidéo de l'accident de l'Ecureuil AS350B2 HB-XVB survenu le 18 juin 2008 à Granges / Soleure. Les images ont été tournées par Christophe Röthlisberger. Le pilote a manqué son atterrissage sur une plateforme. Personne n'a été blessé dans l'accident.
