OEM Endorse IHST Safety Recommendations at HELI-EXPO

In a ringing endorsement of the IHST safety initiative, the Chief Executive Officers of
AgustaWestland, Bell Helicopter Textron, Eurocopter and Sikorsky Aircraft gathered at Heli-Expo to sign a joint letter on February 21, 2010 captioned “A Call for Action by Helicopter Owners.” The letter calls upon “all those who operate our products to implement . . . the safety enhancements recommended by the International Helicopter Safety Team (IHST).” (read more - PDF Format)

Mission Statement Minimize

The mission of the OPEIU and its Local 108, is to promote the best interests of all Professional Pilots serving in the Air Medical community and offshore Oil and Gas operations in the Gulf of Mexico; to equitably enhance compensation and quality of life issues through collective bargaining on behalf of all Pilots represented by this Local; to promote safety, health and welfare, just wages, benefits and working conditions for its members; to be an influential advocate for all Pilots through it its affiliation with the Professional Helicopter Pilots Association before all governmental agencies, industry groups and public outlets; and to be the final guardian of the rights and privileges of the Professional Pilots who are members of OPEIU Local 108.
